Ritchie Bros. Auctioneer Opens Caseyville Auction Site

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer will break ground at its new new permanent St. Louis auction site in the village of Caseyville, IL on Monday, Aug. 24. Ritchie Bros. management and a number of dignitaries from the village of Caseyville, including Caseyville Mayor George Chance, will participate in the ground breaking ceremony.

This has given us the opportunity to establish a new permanent high-profile auction site and facility on I-64 that will enable us to provide an even higher level of service to all of our customers in the St. Louis area."

The new Ritchie Bros. auction site in St. Louis will hold regular unreserved auctions throughout the year for local and international customers interested in buying and selling equipment.

Approximately 40-acres of the 68-acre St. Louis auction site will be developed during the first phase of construction. Plans include the building of 13,500 square foot auction facility housing offices, customer registration and a 500-plus seat auction theatre by March 2010.

Over 15,000 registered bidders have bid on more than 11,000 equipment items sold in St. Louis auctions since 1993. An upcoming unreserved public auction to be held on Oct. 2 at 1400 Shapiro Drive in Festus, MO while construction is being carried out at the new auction site will mark the Ritchie's 20th auction in St. Louis.
