MoDOT Starts Construction on Route BB in Jefferson County

Missouri Department of Transportation will begin the first phase of construction on Route BB between Route 21 and Route 30 starting Wednesday, February 13 at 8:30 a.m. Crews will close Route BB south of Glade Chapel Road and north of Klondike Road on Wednesday. The highway is expected to be open to traffic by 3:30 pm.

The Route BB Bridge over Sand Creek (south of Regina Road) was built in approximately 1966 and needs to be repaired. There are many drainage pipes/box culverts along Route BB that are between 50 and 60 years old that need to be replaced. There is also a sharp curve on Route BB at Old Baker School Lane that needs to be straightened to improve safety and sight distance. Construction on this project is expected to be complete in summer 2008.
