Grant Maune, 53, Third-Generation Industry Member, Dies

Grant F. Maune, 53, a third-generation member of the St. Louis construction industry, died suddenly May 26.

Maune was executive vice president, sales and marketing, for Mays Maune & Associates, an architectural products sales organization.  The firm was successor to the company founded in 1936 by Grant Maune’s grandfather Len A. Maune, and later run by his father Robert Maune and by Grant Maune.

Mays-Maune & Associates, Inc. was formed by the combing the product portfolios of Len A. Maune Co.and another long-time architectural products firm.  Mays-Maune & Associates serves architects, building owners and general contractors in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Kansas. The company’s products include with custom windows and curtainwall systems, composite panels, skylights, louvers, expansion joint systems and steel stair systems.

The other owners of Mays-Maune & Associates are Gary L. Mays, and Patrick H. McWard.

Grant Maune is survived by his wife of  24 years, Susan McKinney Maune; son and daughter Blake and Meg; mother Judith Maune Johnson; and father Robert L. Maune.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 31 at 4 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ladue, 110 N. Warson Rd. Interment is private and there is no visitation. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind, St. Louis, MO 63110.
