This course will introduce individuals to gas tungsten arc welding. The primary focus is on carbon steel plate, however, aluminum and stainless steel will be demonstrated, too. After taking this course, you will have an understanding of DCEP, DCEN, and AC applications. National Association of Women in Construction - 2012 BLOCK KIDS PROGRAM

8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Gardner Elementary - #1 Ed Gardner Place - Waterloo, Illinois 62298

Block Kids Program for Elementary Age Children introduces Children to the construction industry through a friendly competition. There are 100 4th and 5th graders participating this year. Each child will be given 100 interlocking building blocks, a string, a piece of foil and poster paper, and a 12" length of string. In 40 minutes they are to build their construction while our inspectors (judges) asks each child a series of question about construction and what they think they would like to do when they grow up. There is a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. The 1st place winner’s construction moves on to the regional level and the winner of regional moves on to National level. You will be amazed! Read More
