Wilson Completes Frontenac Muni Building

S. M. Wilson & Co. has completed construction of the new Municipal Building for the City of Frontenac. The new 37,800 square foot building combines the city's government offices, police department and fire department into a single facility. Each of these entities was previously housed in a separate building on the same site.

S. M. Wilson provided construction management agency services for the project, which included the demolition of the three existing buildings on the site and the construction of the new municipal building. Construction began in October 2009.

"The new state-of-the-art building enhances city operations and provides better and updated quarters for the firefighters and paramedics," said Scott Wilson, President of S. M. Wilson & Co. "The combined facility also eliminates the previous buildings' limitations on equipment size and provides additional spaces and technology updates for police patrol officers and detectives."

Arcturis was architect for the project.
