S. M. Wilson has begun construction of a new two-story medical office pavilion and a $1.6 million road construction project at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon,
Illinois. Construction is scheduled for completion in June 2010. The company is providing pre-construction, construction management and general
contracting services for the projects.
The $7.2 million, 42,000 square foot facility will be built on the existing hospital campus and include space for pediatrics, behavioral medicines,
occupational health, Sleep Disorders Center, family practice and general hospital offices. A second project, which is budgeted at $1.6 million,
includes construction of a new road to provide an alternate entrance and exit to the hospital. Utilities will also be brought to out parcels of land
to be developed in the future.
These are the fifth and sixth construction projects S. M. Wilson has handled for Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The company has
previously built Medical Office Pavilion #2, including a cardiac catheterization lab, Outpatient Surgery Center and orthopedic suite.
