Walton President Heads Leukemia/Lymphoma “Light the Night” Walk

Steve Biederman, president of Walton Construction St. Louis, has signed on as Corporate Chairman of the 2008 Light the Night Walk for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Gateway Chapter. Light the Night is an annual fundraising event held each fall to raise money for cancer research and patient services.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society holds walks each fall in approximately 240 communities across the United States and Canada. Participants carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold to remember a loved one, – to honor and commemorate lives touched by blood cancer.

This year the walk will take place on September 12th, with walk locations in both Forest Park and St. Peters City Centre Park. The night’s festivities include live entertainment, activities for children and refreshments. For more information, please contact 1-800-264-CURE or (314) 878-0780.
