Walton Construction St. Louis has completed a
190,617-square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter expansion in Chesterfield,
Missouri. Renovations to the retail facility were completed in less
than a year with a grand opening scheduled for October 29, 2008. The
architect was LawKingdon Architecture of Wichita, KS.
“We phased the remodel and addition project to ensure that Wal-Mart was
able to remain open throughout construction,” said Bill Butler, project
manager, Walton Construction.
Walton Construction St. Louis began working with Wal-Mart in 2003 on
the construction of a return center in Waco, TX. Since then, Walton
has been contracted by Wal-Mart to construct mechanized distribution
centers and Supercenters in several states. Walton completed a similar
Supercenter in Marion, IL last year and recently completed a
Supercenter in Harrisburg, IL.
