Volmert Heads Arcturis Planning/Landscape

Russ Volmert, former chairman of the City of St. Louis Planning Commission, has joined Arcturis and will lead its Planning and Landscape Architecture Team. The addition of Volmert reflects Arcturis' growing business in downtown, urban, greenway and community planning; landscape architecture; and urban streetscape and plaza design.

"We are delighted to have Russ Volmert join the Arcturis team," said Traci O'Bryan, Arcturis president. "With his expansive portfolio and 20+ years of experience, his focus and guidance will ensure the highest level of quality design and solution for our clients."

Volmert is a graduate of Kansas State University, College of Architecture and Design and a registered Landscape Architect and Planner. He has worked on a wide range of project types, including: The Animals Always Sculpture at the St. Louis Zoo; Silver Moon Plaza in Chillicothe, MO; The North Civic Gateway Fountain and Park in Belleville, IL; and the Monumental Entrance Amphitheater at the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis, MO.

Volmert was also previously a member of the Cultural Resource Board of the City of St. Louis and served as a member and chairman of the City of St. Louis Planning Commission. He currently resides with his wife and five children in Washington, MO.
