U of I Honors Joe Kaiser

Joe Kaiser, Executive vice president at BSI Constructors, was recently recognized by the University of Illinois Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Association for his "superior technical and administrative leadership demonstrated in the management of construction projects in the St. Louis area, including technically complex facilities, significant architectural structures and major renovations and restorations." The Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Achievement Award "recognizes professional accomplishments or unique contributions to society by alumni of the department."

Kaiser has been with BSI Constructors for 25 years, and has overseen in excess of $1.3 Billion in construction, including many projects, which have received local and national awards. In addition, he is active in the Associated General Contractors, where he has taught more than 25 evening courses for project managers and superintendents, and where he currently serves on the executive committee of the board of directors.

The University of Illinois Civil Engineering School was recognized by U.S. News & World Report in 2010 as the number two civil engineering Program in the United States.
