Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP to Move to Centene Plaza

Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP plans to relocate more than 100 attorneys and staff to Centene Plaza, a newly constructed building in Clayton, Mo. The law firm has signed a letter of intent with The Koman Group to occupy 46,500 square feet in the 17-story, all-glass office tower. The firm is scheduled to move into the building in October 2010.

"We're excited about moving to Centene Plaza because it underscores our long-term commitment to St. Louis and is an important piece of the firm's strategic plan for growth in the St. Louis market," said Chip Misko, co-managing partner of the firm's St. Louis office. "Our new location provides us with plenty of room to grow, which will allow us to continue attracting the top legal talent in the St. Louis market.

"The building's state of the art design and technology will create efficiencies that will enhance client service and ensure we maintain the excellence and value Stinson clients have come to expect," Misko said.

Centene Plaza features some of the largest, column-free floor plates in the St. Louis metro area, and is on track to qualify for LEED Gold certification. Signature designs within the project's much-anticipated "Forsyth Court" include a 60-foot long water wall and colored glass canopy designed by world renowned artist Liam Gillick. The project also features 27,000 square feet of restaurant and boutique retail space. The Koman Group is co-developing the building with Centene Corporation and Clayco.

Stinson Morrison Hecker represents clients ranging from small growth-oriented businesses to large, industry-leading companies. Several of the firm's key clients are based in the St. Louis area, including Peabody Energy, Cepia LLC, McBride & Son Homes, Monsanto and Rawlings Sporting Goods. The firm also represents clients that have significant operations in the St. Louis area, including U.S. Bank.

The firm moved to its current location of 168 N. Meramec in 2008 following a merger with Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss. The Blumenfeld firm, which was founded in St. Louis in 1950, has been at the Meramec location since 1983. Stinson opened its St. Louis office in 1994.
