S.M. Wilson Completes Hermann Hospital

S. M. Wilson & Co. has completed construction of a $13.8 million addition and renovation to the Hermann Area District Hospital in Hermann, MO. S. M. Wilson provided pre-construction and construction management agency services for the two-story, 33,000 square foot hospital project.

The project added 25 new patient beds, a new 4,500 square foot emergency department, a new dining hall, and new rehabilitation therapy and surgery recovery areas. A new entrance and lobby were built to accommodate the anticipated patient volume growth created by the new additions.

The project also included remodeling the hospital's existing outpatient imaging department, expanding its lab space, renovating the administrative and conference areas, and relocating the helipad. Significant upgrades were also made to the hospital's existing mechanical and electrical systems.

Archimages Inc. was architect on the project. Work began in November 2006.
