Andrew Romano has joined Murphy Company as a project manager. In this role, Romano is responsible for planning and executing projects, overseeing construction sites, and managing project objectives, requirements and personnel.
Romano comes to Murphy most recently from MC Industrial, an independent McCarthy Co., where he served as a mechanical, electrical and plumbing project manager. Romano's extensive experience of almost 40 years includes engineering, estimating and project management with increased responsibility in each successive position. Prior to working at MC Industrial, Romano worked at McCarthy Building Companies as a mechanical estimator. From 2002-2005, he served as a project manager at the Corrigan Co., where he managed the Boeing 101 Tempered Air Project, winner of the AGC Keystone Award in 2003, and Ameren Callaway Facility Refuel #13 Condenser Tube Bundle Retrofit, a finalist for the AGC Keystone Award in 2004.
A member of the American Society of Professional Estimators for 16 years, Romano served on the board of directors in 1996. He successfully completed the MCA-sponsored Institute for Project Management, and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with degrees in Industrial and Technical Education and Engineering Technology. He later attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis and received a degree in mathematics.
