Founded in 1993, the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) is an organization of leaders in the design and construction industry that aim to achieve high performance projects by using a design-build project delivery method. The association is made up of a collaborative group of professionals that meet to display their knowledge, skills and similar interests in the industry.

The collaborative design build approach allows for alignment of the project team with rapid project delivery. Construction market conditions can be addressed to provide project solutions that are economical while meeting the growing need for projects to be sustainable. Mr. Pierce is working with others within DBIA to present the Design Build method of project delivery as a way to streamline project cost while providing owners with projects that exceed their expectations.
