Paric Corporation has been selected for the $3 million, 24,000-square-foot fast-track remodeling and rehabilitation project of the Delmar-Skinker Building to create 16 apartments and to renovate street-level retail space at the high-traffic intersection of Delmar and Skinker, just north of Washington University at St. Louis.
The green project adds wind turbines to the roof for electrical generation, reuses current doors and other furnishings, requires a high efficiency HVAC system and follows LEED guidelines throughout.
Because the living units on the second and third floors of the building are targeted to the student housing market, the project must be completed by mid-August.
The building is owned by Washington University. Trivers Associates is the architect on the project.
