St. Louis-based Paric is beginning work on a $50 million addition and renovation at Lenoir Woods continuing care retirement community in Columbia, MO.
The complex, five-year construction project is planned in phases to assure the continuing safety of all residents and uninterrupted operations. The senior living community is operated by Lutheran Senior Services, based in St. Louis.
Work includes a new two-story assisted living building, a four-story independent living building with underground parking, a new administration/wellness building, a new memory care facility and a new skilled nursing facility. In addition, the existing community building will be renovated, utilities relocated and roads realigned, according to Paric Vice President Todd Goodrich.
When construction is complete, Lenoir Woods will include 164 independent apartments, 107 patio homes, 60 assisted living apartments and 140 skilled nursing beds available to serve a variety of continuing care needs.
Lutheran Senior Services operates eight continuing care communities in Missouri and Illinois, in addition to Lenoir Woods, with one community offering one level of care, nine affordable housing communities and eight in-home services locations.
