Northstar Management Company is announced the addition of Doug Erickson as senior project manager.
Erickson brings 36 years of experience in healthcare facilities planning, design and construction along with 30 years of serving on national codes and standards organizations to Northstar. His extensive body of work includes membership on multiple National Fire Protection Association Technical Committees such as NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code, NFPA 5000 Building Construction and Safety Code, NFPA 90A Heating and Ventilating Code, NFPA 70 National Electrical Code - Panel 15, and is the immediate past chairman of NFPA 110 Emergency Power Supply Systems and the current chair of NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Technical Correlating Committee.
He has served on the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities since 1978, and was the Vice Chairman of the document for 12 years and is the Chairman of the 2010 and 2014 editions. Erickson recently served as the Deputy Executive Director for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association. He is a Fellow of the Society (FASHE), a certified healthcare facility manager (CHFM), a certified healthcare facility design professional (HFDP) and a certified healthcare constructor (CHC).
