Murphy Company Taps Westendorf as CIO

Ben D. Westendorf has joined Murphy Company as chief information officer.

WestendorfAs CIO, Westendorf provides executive leadership in the development and implementation of the company's Management Information Systems. He also leads the company in planning and implementing technology-related solutions that support Murphy's operations and strategic initiatives.

"Ben's extensive experience in management and technology, particularly in the construction industry, make him the right fit for Murphy," said Koester.

Westendorf most recently served as a management consultant with The Hilt Network LLC, focusing on technology solutions for engineering, construction and real estate companies. He previously worked for Clayco, Cekular Technologies and Healthcare Strategic Initiatives. Westendorf serves on the advisory board for Missouri Tech College of Engineering and holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Denison University.

Murphy currently is ranked No. 13 on Engineering News-Record's list of top mechanical contractors in the United States. Founded in 1907, the firm employs more than 1,000 people nationwide.
