MOWIT/Habitat STL Hold Tool Recycling Event

Missouri Women in Trades is teaming up this year with Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis' ReStore on its "Tool Turnaround event.

The event is designed to help St. Louisans "go green" by collecting used or otherwise discarded tools and putting them back into productive use. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 24 at the MOWIT offices at 8300 Manchester Rd.

"If you're planning to upgrade your tool box this spring, please donate your used tools to Tool Turnaround," Teresa Willis, executive director of MOWIT said. 

To arrange a tool drop off at Missouri Women In Trades or to schedule a pick-up of your tools, call 314.963.3200 or email . Tools can also be dropped off at the Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis ReStore, 3763 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis, MO, 314.531.4155.

Shoppers will also find a variety of vendors selling new tools, safety equipment, work clothes, etc. Activities planned for the day include Challenge A Tradeswoman (a nail-driving contest) or parent/child birdhouse building.

During the lunch hour - burgers and brats will be for sale.
