MO Highway Commission Awards Projects

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC)awarded several  St. Louis projects at its March meeting. Approximately$7.58 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:

   •     Interstate 44 at Lewis Road and I-44 at the Meramec River- This project consists of bridge replacement at the I-44 and Lewis Road
interchange, and bridge rehabilitation of the westbound bridges over the Meramec River west of Lewis Road. These projects were awarded to Concrete Strategies, LLC (St. Louis, MO) for $3,747,121.67. These projects are expected to begin in April 2009. The I-44 and Lewis Road project should be completed by July 2010. The I-44 at the Meramec River project should be completed by December 2009.
 
   •     Various locations in St. Louis County, St. Louis City and Jefferson County-This project consists of bridge maintenance at various
locations in St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and Jefferson County. This project was awarded to Concrete Strategies, LLC (St. Louis, MO) for
$896,625.38. This project is expected to begin in May 2009 and should be completed by October 2009.
 
   •     Interstate 55 at Lafayette Avenue, 12th Street, Gravois, Sidney, Pestalozzi, Arsenal and Utah Streets - These projects consists of bridge
rehabilitation on the Lafayette Avenue bridge over I-55, and bridge rehabilitation and installation of fencing and lighting to bridges at 12th
Street, Gravois, Sidney, Pestalozzi, Arsenal and Utah Streets. These projects were awarded to Concrete Strategies, LLC (St. Louis, MO) for
$2,699,827.30. This project is expected to begin in March 2009 and should be completed by August 2010.

   •     Interstate 70 from 1⁄2 mile east of I-170 at Springdale Road to St. Louis City limits- This project consists of mowing and trimming of right of way and litter removal on I-70 from 1⁄2 mile east of I-170 at Springdale Road to the St. Louis City limits. This project was awarded to Millgoal
Enterprises II  LLC (Platte City, MO) for $30,760.  This project was awarded as a one-year contract.

 
   •     Interstate 70 from 1⁄2 mile east of Interstate 270 at McKelvey Road to 1⁄2 mile west of Interstate 170 at McDonnell Boulevard- This project
consists of mowing and trimming of right of way and litter removal on I-70 from 1⁄2 mile east of I-270 at McKelvey Road to 1⁄2 mile west of I-170 a McDonnell Boulevard. This project was awarded to Millgoal Enterprises LLC(Platte City, MO) for $38,948. This project was awarded as a one-year
contract.

 
   •     Route 141 from Route 340 to the Meramec River- This project consists of mowing and trimming right of way and litter removal on Route 141
from Route 340 to the Meramec River. This project was awarded to Malone's Landscaping LLC (St. Peters, MO) for $60,788. This project was awarded as a one-year contract.

 
   •     Interstate 70 from 1⁄2 mile west of Route K at Woodlawn Avenue to the Missouri River- This project consists of mowing and trimming of right of way and litter removal on I-70 from 1⁄2 mile west of Route K at Woodlawn Avenue to the Missouri River.  This project was awarded to Millgoal
Enterprises II LLC (Platte City, MO) for $49,434.  This project was awarded as a one-year contract.

 
   •     Interstate 70 from the Warren County line to 1⁄2 mile west of Route K at Woodlawn Avenue- This project consists of mowing and trimming of right of way and litter removal on I-70 from the Warren County line to 1⁄2 mile west of Route K at Woodlawn Avenue.  This project was awarded to Millgoal Enterprises II LLC (Platte City, MO) for $65,912. This project was awarded as a one-year contract.
