Midwest Block & Brick, a division of Midwest Products Group, announced that the company has just completed their new Pre-Cast Plant facility in Jefferson City.
The construction of the new Pre-Cast Plant took approximately 12
months to complete. Midwest Block & Brick invested approximately $2
million for equipment, site work and modifications to the existing
19,000 square foot building. The plant building is surrounded by
MagnumStoneTM, Rosetta® outcropping and VERSA-LOK® retaining wall. The
plant is located on five acres next to the current Midwest Block &
Brick facility in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Jefferson City was chosen for the construction of the new Pre-Cast Plant, due to its central location within the state of Missouri, and the close proximity to highway systems and easy access to multiple metro markets. Every
Midwest Products Group facility, which includes 24 locations total in
five surrounding states, will be serviced from the Jefferson City-based
pre-cast facility.
Jeremy Winegar has been named Manager of the new Midwest Block & Brick Pre-Cast Plant. The addition of the new manufacturing plant facility created 17 new jobs for the Jefferson City-based company. Winegar states, "We feel fortunate to be producing products that are already in high demand by our customers. An additional bonus has been the ability to hire dedicated employees during this time of economic downturn."
CEO of Midwest Products Group Pat Dubbert expressed his appreciation for the citizens and government of Jefferson City, noting "We thank Jefferson City for giving Midwest Block & Brick the opportunity for company expansion, as well as our neighbors for their cooperation during the entire construction process."
Midwest Block & Brick is a dry cast producer of building products such as CMU and Segmental Retaining Walls, as well as a distributor of clay brick, pavers, and natural stone. The pre-cast plant will be a new operation brought into the company's existing production and distribution facility. The new plant will bring
unique
pre-cast products into the central United States, as well as innovative
equipment to produce these new products. The plant will also produce
time-tested concrete products for the highway infrastructure markets,
as well as site development.
