Michael Flavin has joined Midwest BankCentre (MBC) as regional president. The announcement was made by Jim Watson, president of MBC. "We are very pleased to have someone with Mike's years of experience and market knowledge join our team," said Watson. "And personally, it is very exciting to be reunited with a former banking partner."
Based in the Clayton branch, Flavin focuses on new business development and commercial loan growth. He has more than 25 years banking experience and most recently served as president at The Business Bank of St. Louis.
Flavin earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and his master's degree in business administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
Flavin is a board member at Forest Hills Country Club and serves on the advisory board for Great Circle. He sits on the development boards for KidSmart and the Family Support Network. Flavin is a former board member of the Missouri Bankers Association and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of St. Louis, and a former member of the Young Presidents' Organization. For three years, he was chairman of the Chesterfield Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission.
