MHTC awards local projects at February meeting

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several St. Louis project at its February 6 meeting. Approximately $ 7.5 million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects. All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:

  • Route 141 at Route 21: Repairing a landslide on Route 141 at Route 21. This project was awarded to Jokerst Paving and Contracting Company (Festus, MO) for $33,389.65. This project is expected to begin in May 2008 and should be complete by August 2008.
  • Route 61 over Joachim Creek: Bridge improvements on Route 61 over Joachim Creek. This project was awarded to Thomas Industrial Coatings (Pevely, MO) for $660,000. This project is expected to begin in March 2008 and should be complete by July 2008.
  • Various sections of Route 100 and Route 50: Pavement treatment on Route 100 from one mile west of St. Louis County line to Route T and Route 50 from east of Gerald to Route 47 South in Union and Route 47 from Miller Drive to Commercial Avenue in St. Clair. This project was awarded to Pace Construction (St. Louis, MO) for $3,404,000. This project is expected to begin in March 2008 and should be complete by November 2008.
  • Route 100 at 0.5 mile east of Route 185 at Little Boeuf Creek: Replacing the bridge on Route 100 east of Route 185. This project was awarded to Pace Construction (St. Louis, MO) for $910,000. This project began in February 2008 and is should be complete by November 2008.
  • Route 30 at Little Brennan Road: Adding left turn lanes for eastbound and westbound Route 30, and extending the box culvert and upgrading the signals. This project was awarded to L. Krupp Construction (Ellisville, MO) for $1,079,561.79. This project is expected to begin in March 2008 and should be complete by October 2008.
  • Various sections of Route 141 and Route 21: Pavement treatment on Route 141 from north of Route 30 and north of Route HH to north of Ladue Farm Road and Route 21 from the Meramec River to 1 mile south of Route 141. This project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting (Brentwood, MO) for $1,263,993.15. This project is expected to begin in March 2008 and should be complete by November 2008.
  • Various locations around St. Louis County: Mowing and trimming right of way at Interstate 270 from Big Bend to Interstate 55 to the Mississippi River, Interstate 44 from the Meramec River to the River Des Peres, and Interstate 55 from Butler Hill Road to Weber Road. This project was awarded to Munie Outdoor Services (Caseyville, IL) for $121,772.30. This project was awarded as a one-year contract.
  • Interstate 55 from Route 30 (Gravois Avenue) to Weber Road: Mowing and trimming of right of way. This project was awarded to A.U. Innovative Lawns (Mehlville, MO) for $43,860. This project was awarded as a one-year contract.
