Lambert Terminal 1 Windows Underway

The installation of new windows on the south side of Terminal 1 is now underway at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. More than 300 panes of glass were damaged in Terminal 1 during the April 22 tornado this past spring. Hilboldt Curtainwall, Inc. of St. Louis is performing the work on the $900,000 project. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2011.

More than 15,500 square feet of new glass will be installed within the original floor-to-ceiling window framing. The new windows were designed to fit into the existing curtain wall framing which has reduced costs and preserved the historic façade of the terminal which opened in 1956.

Hilboldt Curtainwall is a certified WBE company based in South St. Louis with extensive experience in the design, fabrication and erection of large curtain wall projects for hospitals, schools, corporate headquarters and government buildings.
