Korte Awarded $20.1 Million Texas Military Project

The Korte Company will begin construction of an Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) Training Center in Tyler, TX. The project consists of four facilities including: a training center, organizational maintenance shop, unheated storage building and a covered wash rack. Additionally, the company will provide storm drainage, site improvements and an Intrusion Detection System (IDS).

When completed in summer of 2011, the facility will serve a population of 800 soldiers and will be used for Army Reserve and Texas Army National Guard training activities.

Winning the project required value engineering, Todd Korte, President & CEO of The Korte Company said, “Our proposal was refined to consider a more compact site, which significantly increased the value of the buildings and building systems through a cost-effective use of the space.”
