KCI Construction was recently awarded a contract to construct the Columbia, MO Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) improvement project for the City of Columbia, MO. The project has a total contract amount of $54,015,076.
The three year project, which was designed by Black & Veatch, will begin immediately at the existing plant southwest of Columbia. Upon completion, the plant capacity will approximately double its current 13 million-gallon-per-day capacity, and work includes addition of two new treatment trains, modifications and upgrades to the two existing treatment trains, new combined collections and administration building, and upgrades to controls and electrical services.
KCI has enjoyed recent success in the local wastewater treatment market, currently working on an MSD pump station in Creve Couer and recently completing a wastewater plant expansion for the City of Washington and WWTP expansion for the City of St. Peters.
