Almost a year of discussions resulted in Tom Huster, Brent Krueger and Jon Schenk purchasing 100 percent of the company from Jones. Under the terms of the purchase, Jones will remain with the firm for the next 12 years.
KCI saw nearly a 15 percent increase in its revenue last year. Earlier this year Jones was quoted as saying that the firm's 2008 prospects remain positive, with a backlog pushing $125 million. About $85 million of KCI's work will take place in Columbia, Mo., where the company aggressively pursued and deals with clients that include the University of Missouri. KCI has offices in St. Louis and Lebanon, MO, and is reportedly considering opening an office in Columbia
