Hunter Beckham, RLA, ASLA and principal at St. Louis landscape architecture firm SWT Design, Inc., has been appointed to the 2012 American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Council of Professional Practice Networks as Chair Designate.
ASLA's Professional Practice Networks (PPN) allow members to stay current with industry trends and participate in professional development opportunities within 17 specialized areas of landscape architecture. As Chair Designate of the Professional Practice Networks, Beckham will promote member interests and concerns, monitor PPN achievements and challenges in maintaining active leadership and member expectations, propose new program activities to increase professional recognition and advise the society on new developments that might arise.
"I'm honored and excited to continue my work with the American Society of Landscape Architects," Beckham said. "The Professional Practice Networks provide incredible value to their members and I hope to help promote the recognition of these benefits."
