Holland Construction Services, Inc. has completed the Coordinated Youth and Human Services Education Building in the Tri City Regional Port District’s River’s Edge business park in Granite City. The building is now open and providing services for about 200 students.
“We are so pleased to be here in the business park in this nice, bright, cheery new building,” said Cindy Gavilsky, executive director of CYH Services. “I worked very closely with the Holland Construction team, and every person involved did a great job.”
As the first facility owned by CYH, it replaces previously leased space. Gavilsky said that the hard work and diligence of the board of directors made a dream become a reality.
The $2.2 million, 20,000-square-foot education facility is equipped with 10 classrooms, a computer lab and a gymnasium.
“This was a very important project for us,” Gavilsky said. “The Holland staff was very good to work with and they were all very accommodating of our needs.”
