Holland Completes Prairie State HQ

Prairie State Generating Company, LLC employees are moving into the new corporate headquarters office building in Marissa, IL recently completed by Holland Construction Services, Inc.

The company's new corporate building provides a permanent home for the Prairie State senior management and support teams, allowing them to consolidate into one central location and work more efficiently to better serve PSGC's eight public power company owners, said Michael P. Rother, director of contracts and industrial relations at Prairie State.

The facility features 22,000 square feet comprised of general office space, two conference rooms, a boardroom, break room, and a walkout basement that includes shower, locker and workout space for employee convenience. The project also included a new parking lot and easy access to the nearby county highway.

"The Holland Construction team has been professional and demonstrated excellent character strengths from start to finish on the design and construction of our corporate building," Rother said. "Their attitude, commitment to excellence and ability to manage subcontractors effectively insured the efficiencies necessary to achieve a successful project completion."

"The bottom line is HCS stepped up to the plate from the beginning, stayed focused and successfully executed the work," Rother added. "Holland is a first class organization that met project objectives as well as challenges in terms of safety, quality, cost and schedule."

Holland Construction is currently in the design phase of the upcoming Prairie State Energy Campus power plant administrative building and shop facility, with construction set to begin in July.
