The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) awarded several St. Louis projects at its May meeting. Approximately $7.15
million was awarded to contractors for various roadway improvement projects.
All contracts were awarded to the lowest bidder. The projects include:
• Route PP over Hoosier Creek - This project consists of bridge rehabilitation on the Route PP bridge over Hoosier Creek in Franklin County.
This project was awarded to HBI Construction, LLC (Villa Ridge, MO) for $235,116. This project is expected to begin in June 2009 and should be
completed by August 2009.
• Interstate 70 at Earth City Expressway-This project will repair and resurface pavement on the shoulders of the Earth City Expressway ramps
and Interstate 70. This project was awarded to Pace Construction Company LLC (St. Louis, MO) for $390,475. This project is expected to begin in June 2009 and should be completed by August 2009.
• Route 47 at Country Club Lane - This project will improve safety and capacity of Route 47 at Country Club Lane in Franklin County. This
project was awarded to N.B. West Contracting (St. Louis, MO) for $446,145.85. This project is expected to begin in June 2009 and should be
completed by September 2009.
• Interstate 70 and Interstate 170 interchange- This project consists of installation of mast lighting at the I-70 and I-170 interchange.
This project was awarded to Gerstner Electric Inc. (Fenton, MO) for $905,861.42. This project is expected to begin in June 2009 and should be
completed by February 2010.
