Hanneke Nails "Golden Hammer"
St. Louis' Hanneke Hardware will receive national recognition May 6 at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.
Hanneke is one of four retailers nationally that will be honored at the "Golden Hammer Awards," which are presented by Home Channel News magazine.
In addition to the four retailers, the awards recognize 32 retail Golden Hammer winners and 32 Silver Circle winners. The winners are selected by a panel of executives from top hardware industry companies, such as Sears, True Value, ACE, and Westlake.
Tony Miller, president of Hanneke, which has three locations in the St. Louis area, said that his organization was singled out as the "most innovative" hardware retailer. Last year Miller's company built a kitchen, bath, and flooring center directed at both consumers and contractors in its Afton location on Gravois near Tesson Ferry.
