Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis has announced a ‘Night at the Ballpark' scheduled for Friday, July 16. Ticket sales support Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis. The Cardinals will be playing the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tickets are in Sections 361 and 363.
Tickets are $25 (they are regularly priced at $35). They may be purchased at Habitat's ReStore (Section 361 only) at 3763 Forest Park Avenue, and on-line (Section 363 only) at www.habitatstl.org. For special requests and group sales, contact Connie Goetz at or 314-371-0400.
Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis is a not-for-profit, ecumenical housing ministry working in partnership with individuals and communities of all faiths to improve living conditions and provide affordable housing in the St. Louis community. Habitat for Humanity sponsors, volunteers, and partner families work side-by-side to build new homes. Each homeowner family invests 450 hours of "sweat equity" into their home and other projects. Sponsors include corporations, organizations, religious groups, and individuals. Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis regularly ranks among the top Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the country.
Habitat currently is building 17-houses in Old North St. Louis Neighborhood. This is the 1st LEED ‘Neighborhood Development' in Missouri. Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis has built 282 houses to date; 51 of which are LEED Certified Platinum. In addition to the 17-house Build in Old North St. Louis, Habitat will build 13 houses all to LEED Certified Platinum standards in the JeffVanderLou Neighborhood in 2010. This year Habitat will build its 300th home in St. Louis. Habitat has set a goal of building 50 houses a year by 2015.
