Growing Green Entries Sought

Entries are being acccepted for the  St. Louis Regional Chapter, U.S. Green Building Council's (USGBC-STL) second Annual Growing Green Awards. The event is being held March 31.

The awards recognize individuals, groups and organizations  for actively, "transforming the built environment while sharing their knowledge of green building and sustainable practices."

The St. Louis Regional Chapter is proud to celebrate and recognize the individuals, groups and organizations actively transforming the built environment while sharing their knowledge of green building and sustainable practices.

Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:This year's categories include:

  • Innovator: seeking innovative solutions to a green building problem, including existing, new or renovated buildings, systems or operations
  • Home Builder: working to further sustainable residential building, single family or multi-family up to 30 units
  • Government: working within the governmental sector, through the sustainability of the built environment, to provide leadership by example and actions
  • Quietly Green: demonstrating a commitment to the evolution of green building, promoting awareness of the movement and embodying the attributes and innovative spirit of a green building leader
  • Educator: embracing sustainable building or creating an outstanding building, campus, system or innovation
  • Corporate: working within the commercial sector, including multi-family buildings above 30 units, to further sustainable building
  • Non-Profit: working in the non-profit sector to provide leadership, consulting, support or encouragement around sustainability and the built environment
