DiCicco Named Sr. VP at Murphy Co.

Lawrence R. DiCicco has been appointed senior vice president, heavy industrial, for Murphy Company. The announcement was made by Patrick Murphy, Jr., president.

"Larry is a proven leader in managing large, complex projects as well as smaller and medium-sized assignments," said Murphy. "His broad industrial experience and project management background are a perfect match for our growing client base in the power, refinery, petrochemical and metals industries."

During his career, DiCicco has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the industrial arena, including director of projects for a national design and engineering firm, and as vice president of business development for a medium-sized general contractor. He also is a certified project manager through the Project Management Institute.

"What attracted me to Murphy Company was its excellent reputation as a leading mechanical contractor, the diversity among the various corporate business units, and the foresight and aggressiveness of its senior management team," said DiCicco. "The tradition at Murphy, while being an extremely young century-plus-old company, was very appealing. I think the potential within our Heavy Industrial Group is enormous, both on the capital side and for our plant operations support and maintenance work."

DiCicco holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.
