Craig Spidle Elected DB President

Craig Spidle of Burns & McDonnell has been elected president and board member for the St. Louis chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America. The St. Louis chapter is part of the organization's Midwest Region.  Design-build is a method of project delivery in which one entity works under a single contract with an owner to provide design and construction services from initial concept through completion.

Spidle directs Burns & McDonnell's design/build practice in St. Louis. Over his 30-year career, he has amassed a diverse project portfolio that includes pharmaceutical, high tech manufacturing, food and beverage, aviation, energy, and infrastructure projects valued at more than $1 billion. He has a bachelor's degree in civil and construction engineering from Iowa State University.

The Design-Build Institute promotes the value of design-build project delivery and provides leadership, education, objective expertise, best practices and other resources for the successful delivery of construction projects using design-build building approach.
