Control Technology and Solutions Opens Dallas Office

Control Technology and Solutions (CTS), a St. Louis, Mo.-based company that provides design and construction services that dramatically improve the energy efficiency of educational, institutional and commercial buildings, has opened an office in Dallas.

Heading the new office, the sixth operated by CTS nationally, is Dallas native Roger Thibodeau.

Indicative of its focus is a $20 million project under way at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill., in which CTS is harvesting geothermal, solar and wind energy to make Lake Land the first self-sustaining college in Illinois. When work is complete, the school will save about 850,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity and 70,000 therms of natural gas each year, reducing its carbon output by 556 metric tons.
