‘Connected Communities’ Event Kicks Off Bike Plan

'Creating Vibrant and Connected Communities,' a daylong forum on enhancing quality of life by improving transportation options, will be held on March 25 at the Richmond Heights Community Center.

The event will also be the kickoff for the St. Louis Regional Bicycle Master Plan. The morning session will cover policy issues and the afternoon session will be a bike facilities design workshop.

The luncheon speaker will be Charles Gandy, Long Beach, CA mobility coordinator. Gandy a nationally recognized expert in bicycle and pedestrian advocacy as well as trail planning and design. will use recent successes in Long Beach to discuss strategies for successfully implementing bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
