With plans well underway for Westminster Christian Academy's new 70-acre campus in Town & Country, Westminster has put its current 30-acre campus, located at 10900 Ladue Road, up for sale and has selected CB Richard Ellis as the exclusive listing agent.
Westminster's Creve Coeur campus includes the current main 155,000-square-foot facility with two gymnasiums, an indoor swimming pool, a cafeteria and classrooms. The grounds currently hold five tennis courts; athletic fields for baseball, softball, football and soccer.
In order to expand, Westminster purchased two adjacent plots of land southwest of Interstate 64/Highway 40 and Maryville Centre Drive, where it will build a new campus with multiple academic and recreational facilities. The new campus is part of a $50 million capital campaign to support the school's vision and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2010-2011 school year.
"Though building a new campus is necessary for Westminster's future growth, we have and will continue to invest significantly in maintaining, improving and beautifying our existing campus," said Robert H. Johnson, CCIM, Westminster board member. "Ideally, we would like to see it used by an organization that shares our commitment to serve the St, Louis community and will benefit from the improvements we've made. CB Richard Ellis understands our goals and will work with us to find the right buyer for our Creve Coeur campus."
CB Richard Ellis First Vice President Marc Cacciarelli, SIOR, and Senior Vice President Tripp Hardin, SIOR, will market the property. The two veterans have decades of experience in the St. Louis market.
"We are extremely excited about being chosen to market such a high-profile property," said Peter Krombach, SIOR, senior managing director, CB Richard Ellis. "With its central location in an upscale neighborhood, the Westminster campus is a great opportunity for a variety of buyers."
