Home Builders Association (HBA) President Sean Flower of Flower & Fendler, Inc. presented an $8,250 donation to Ellen Reed-Fox, director of advancement for Edgewood Children's Center, on behalf of the Home Builders Charitable Foundation.
The donation will be used for partial funding toward the installation of new lighting in a new residential unit for autistic children. An existing building on the Edgewood campus is being renovated to house 12 autistic children ranging from ages 5-15. Many of these children exhibit aggressive behaviors and cannot reside in less restrictive environments. Edgewood is striving to reach out to children and families in most dire need of assistance, providing comprehensive services that enable the children to grow and flourish at their own pace.
The HBA is a local trade association of more than 800 member firms representing the residential construction industry. The Home Builders Charitable Foundation, the HBA's charitable arm, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing assistance to people or organizations with special shelter needs.
