Amy Berg Named Wilson President

S. M. Wilson & Co. has strengthened its senior leadership team with the promotion of six executives to new positions effective January 1, 2012. Amy Berg has been promoted to President of S. M. Wilson. She replaces Scott Wilson, who will become Chief Executive Officer. Berg has been with S. M. Wilson for 15 years, most recently as Vice President - Business Development.

In addition, Bill Wagner has been promoted to Vice President. He and current Vice President Steve Mast, who have been instrumental in building the company's healthcare and retail business respectively, will continue providing operational support while maintaining their business relationships and providing future growth opportunities for S. M. Wilson. Wagner joined S. M. Wilson in 2001 and was previously

Project Executive. Dale Miller will continue as Vice President overseeing information technology, human resources and Hampton Printing functions, while also providing leadership for Rollins Construction Company. Fred Jaeckle will continue as Vice President overseeing pre-construction, estimating, contract negotiations and a variety of special assignments for the company, while also mentoring the new leadership team.

Mark Winschel has been promoted to Director of Business Development. He will transition into this new role over time while continuing his work on current projects. Winschel joined the company in 2002 and was previously a Project Manager.

Tom Kaiman and Rob Warner have both been promoted to share the responsibility of Director of Operations. Mark Cochran has also been promoted to Director of Field Operations. Together they will be responsible for project management, project engineering, project supervision and field workforce activities. Kaiman joined the company in 2010 and has been in charge of its federal government and military construction (MILCON) Division. Warner joined S. M. Wilson in 2001, and was previously a Project Manager. Cochran joined the company in 1999 as a Project Engineer, and was previously Project Manager.

"We launched a long-term succession plan and mentoring program several years ago to steadily transition the leadership of this company away from myself and into the hands of senior management," said Scott Wilson. "Our strengthened management team is a healthy mixture of seasoned veterans and young professionals. More importantly, they have all come from within our own ranks, which says a lot about the caliber of people we have in our organization. Fred, Dale, Bill and Steve are essential to the Wilson "glue" and will help assure that our younger generation of leaders carries forward in the same tradition of the last 25 years. I believe we are very well positioned to grow profitably well into the future."
