Alberici Constructors will be showing its colors during “National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week” on April 6-10 2009 by lighting up their 124’ wind turbine bright orange with energy-efficient LED lights as part of MoDOT’s “Operation Orange”.
“Operation Orange” is one of the ways MoDOT reminds motorists to drive safely in highway work zones, as we head into another busy highway construction season. Launched in 2007, “Operation Orange” is MoDOT's signature effort to highlight the need for safety in work zones by turning significant landmarks and other buildings orange. The wind turbine is one of more than 70 buildings and landmarks throughout the state that will be spotted orange to highlight the need to drive safely in areas of the highway where workers are performing maintenance and construction activities
