13 Road Resurfacing Projects in Mid-MO Approved by MO

Thirteen new resurfacing projects spanning mid-Missouri were approved Nov. 17 by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.

The projects were added to the 2010-14 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. Four of the 13 projects are in Boone County.

According to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, the projects will be funded with federal stimulus money. Bids on earlier stimulus-funded projects have come in under budget giving mid-Missouri $5 million to put back into its roadways.

The Boone County resurfacing projects include:

 

  • Interstate 70 Outer Road, from Route E to the end of state maintenance in Columbia
  • Route KK, from Route K to the end of state maintenance in Columbia
  • Route WW in Boone and Callaway counties, from North Fork Creek in Boone County to Route J in Callaway County
  • Route ZZ, from Route TT to I-70 Drive Southwest in Columbia

Other mid-Missouri projects are:

  • Westbound U.S. Route 50 in Cole County, just west of Truman Boulevard to Business Route 50 in Apache Flats
  • Route 87 in Copper County, from I-70 to Main Street in Boonville
  • Route 87 in Miller County, from Salem Road to Route 54 in Eldon
  • Route CC in Miller County, from Salem Road to Route 52 in Eldon
  • Route 765 in Pettis County, from railroad tracks to U.S. 65 in Sedalia
  • Route P in Pettis County, at various locations within the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia
  • Route Y in Pettis County, from west of U.S. 65 to Quisenberry Road in Sedalia
